International Tax Review’s awards methodology

Since 1990, International Tax Review has established itself as one of the world’s leading magazines dedicated to international tax strategy. Each issue includes comprehensive international news and analysis, unique guides to the most recent international deals, in-depth features, surveys, international updates and profiles.

The European ITR Awards ceremony celebrates the most innovative tax transactional, structuring, litigation and transfer pricing work completed in Europe. The awards are handed to firms that demonstrate excellence, innovation and an ability to deal with complexity in each category.

In March 2013, International Tax Review invited advisory firms in 27 European jurisdictions, as well as Africa, to submit three examples of their best work in 2012. The submissions were considered for two categories (tax and transfer pricing) in each of the countries, as well as for pan-European awards.

International Tax Review editorial staff compiled the awards shortlists based on these submissions and consulted with tax executives responsible for the region to choose the winners from these nominees.
