April 29, 2013

In its meeting on 23 April 2013, the Mediation Committee (Vermittlungsausschuss) did not reach a compromise about the content of the bill on the implementation of the EU Mutual Assistance Directive and amendments to fiscal provisions (Entwurf eines Gesetzes zur Umsetzung der Amtshilferichtlinie sowie zur Änderung steuerlicher Vorschriften, Amtshilferichtlinie-Umsetzungsgesetz – AmtshilfeRLUmsG).

Previously, on 22 March 2013, the Federal Council (Bundesrat) refused to approve the bill.

The Mediation Committee will continue the discussions in its next meeting on 5 June 2013.
