Japan’s 2013 tax reform proposal released [TAX ALERT]

On 24 January 2013, the 2013 tax reform proposal (Proposal) was released.

The Proposal reflects the Japanese government’s new approach in addressing Japan’s economic problems.

The Proposal targets, among other items, an increase in domestic investments and employment.

This Alert highlights the Proposal’s major reforms and revisions related to corporate taxation.
